Home » Blog » Importance of Coaching to Deal with Challenges at the Leadership Level – Live Coaching Session By Anupam Arun, Country Head & SVP, Cvent – 8th May 2020

With the fast-changing pace of industries across the globe, it has become mandatory to equip ourselves with the skills required to rule the industry. However, if you’re a manager, you not only need to sharpen your own skills, but also need to enable your team members, to polish their finesse as well. Bersin by Deloitte had published a report that said more than 75% of the employees tend to rely on their leaders and managers, to provide them with development opportunities.

In times such as these, even business executives, managers, CXOs and people holding the highest post of office within an organization, need coaching in their life, to deal with the challenges at the leadership.

Coaching is not merely a technique to be wheeled out and rigidly applied in certain prescribed situations. It is a way of leading, a way of treating people, a way of thinking, a way of being. The underlying and ever-present purpose of coaching is building the self-belief of others. If leaders and managers bear this in mind and act on it persistently and authentically, they will be staggered by the improvements in relationships and in a performance that result. Whether we coach, manage or lead, the effectiveness of what we do depends in large measure on our beliefs about human potential. The expressions “to get the best out of someone” and “your hidden potential” implies that more lies within the person waiting to be released. The conversation is the relationship and the purpose of a coaching conversation is to stimulate thinking, growth, and change that lead to action.

The ICW 2020, will be hosting one such conversation with an Erickson Certified Coach, who is serving his organization as an International Business Negotiations Expert and a Strategic Business Process Consultant, along with performing several other duties, simultaneously.
