Coaching, as they say, is more an art than science! However, with the passage of time, coaching has managed to become a fine blend of art and science, at the same time. Business leaders and managers have started quantifying the effect of coaching through the attainment of goals and desirable results. One such scholar, who has made a fair amount of contribution towards the success of the leadership and coaching fraternity, is Prof. Jules Goddard. A renowned scholar at London Business School, Jules has been directing, delivering and designing strategy workshops for business executives, for more than 35 years now. It gives us immense pleasure, to have Prof. Jules Goddard as an authoritative member of the International Coaching Week, to be conducted, from the 4th of May, until the 10th of May.

Through this FREE webinar, Jules shall be discussing as to how coaching can be leveraged through a newly designed 4D approach. The 4D approach to Coaching caters to the four dimensions of an individual’s journey including Destiny, Drama, Deliberation and Development. The approach considers the journey you take as an individual, your response, and what you make out of that. The approach became so successful, that people started using this framework in their professional as well as personal lives. From removing obstacles, to pursuing opportunities, the 4D model became a one-stop solution for all leaders, coaches and business executives. To learn more about the different aspects of coaching, you could visit this blog.

The 4D approach of coaching majorly speaks about pioneer performance and effectiveness. Here’s how”

Destiny: Destiny has a major role to play, in all our lives. The destiny aspect of the 4D model talks about the conditions, that we were born in, the hand we were dealt at birth and the course our life took, from there onwards.

Drama: This segment talks about the events, experiences and happenings, that shaped our lives and the path we chose to walk, provided the surprises.

Deliberation: The deliberation in coaching is more about the key turning point of our lives. It also puts into perspective, our decision-making ability, which is vital to all the other components of the 4D approach of coaching.

Development: Last, but not the least, it is the aspect of development that cohesively binds all the other integral aspects of coaching. It talks about our interests and projects that we chose to pursue, which further equipped us with new skills, new insights and wisdom.

The primary objective of the 4D approach was designed to simplify, the behavioural aspects of human beings, around several distinctions as mentioned:

Nature vs. Nurture
Worrying vs. reflections
Frustration vs. focus

The 4D model not only ensures success in the professional field, but it also makes way for a healthy psychological state of mind and well-being. In a world plagued with clutter, the 4D approach not only puts you on the global map, but also helps you reach your destination, in the quickest time possible. As simple as they might seem, Prof Jules Godard, has always emphasised on the significant role this method plays, in the process of self-transformation.
